A web UI for managing Docker, Swarm, Podman and Kubernetes environments: containers, images, volumes, networks and Compose stacks. The Community Edition is zlib-licensed and, per its README, intended for homelabs and other non-production use; the paid Business Edition adds RBAC, SSO and support.

Install

Run these commands on your server:

# Portainer CE — create the data volume, then start the server
docker volume create portainer_data
docker run -d -p 8000:8000 -p 9443:9443 --name portainer --restart=always \
  -v /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock -v portainer_data:/data \
  portainer/portainer-ce:lts
