An open-source web and product analytics platform that pitches itself as "the power of Mixpanel with the ease of Plausible": funnels, cohorts, user profiles, session history and replay, A/B tests, revenue tracking, real-time dashboards, and SDKs for web, iOS/Android and server-side events — cookieless. Licensed AGPL-3.0; the documented install clones a dedicated git branch, a setup quiz writes .env, and a start script brings up seven containers (Caddy, PostgreSQL, Redis, ClickHouse, API, dashboard, worker). Free to self-host with unlimited events, per its pricing page.
Pick OpenPanel when what you actually want is product analytics — funnels, cohorts, user profiles, session replay, A/B tests and mobile SDKs — and Google Analytics was only ever a stand-in for Mixpanel. It is AGPL-3.0, free to self-host with unlimited events per its own pricing page, and its setup quiz writes the configuration for you. It is also the heaviest install in this hub: seven containers, a domain for Caddy, and no published RAM floor.
What you need
Any VPS with at least 2048 MB of RAM
A domain you control — most self-hosted setups need HTTPS in front of them

Install
Run these commands on your server:
# OpenPanel — the project's self-hosting branch: ./setup asks for your domain and secrets and writes .env, ./start brings up Caddy, PostgreSQL, Redis, ClickHouse, API, dashboard and workergit clone -b self-hosting https://github.com/Openpanel-dev/openpanel && cd openpanel/self-hosting./setup # installs Docker and Node if they are missing, then runs the configuration quiz./start # → https://your.domain (Caddy on :80/:443; registration is off after the first user — ALLOW_REGISTRATION=true to open it)
OpenPanel is the most capable and the most machinery in this hub; both sides show up in the install:
non-negotiableThe docs tell you to clone the self-hosting git branch (git clone -b self-hosting …) rather than the default branch. The same self-hosting/ directory exists on main, but the branch is the one the docs support — follow them.
non-negotiableThe compose template runs Caddy, PostgreSQL, Redis, ClickHouse, the API, the dashboard and a worker. The project publishes no RAM minimum; the 2 GB on our page is our estimate for that stack, not a documented figure.
non-negotiableThe docs say it has only been tested on Ubuntu 24.04, and that you must initialise the SDK with your own API URL (your domain plus /api) — the default points at the hosted service.
non-negotiableRegistration is off after the first user (ALLOW_REGISTRATION="false" in the env template); invitations are on. Email (Resend or SMTP) and the AI features are optional extras that need their own keys.
